Screwup the honest

Is being honesty good or bad? Many in corporate tell its bad. One of my friend I recently met asked me with a little confusion – Vishnu being honest is good? I was not surprised by the question, because so called dishonest people will quote works of Chanakya to justify dishonesty and it is more viral in internet. It goes like this: A person should not be too honest. Straight trees are cut first and honest people are screwed first. (I’m not sure, if it’s really said by Chanakya and why and in which context).

If the above stupid statement is true why to follow Kosha, Shiva Purana, Bhagavata, Bhagavad Gita, Tripiṭaka, Agam Sutras, Guru Granth Sahib, Bible, Tao Te Ching, Quran, and other religious books and teachings which addresses the subject of integrity and honesty.

Unfortunately, every dishonest, cunning, and unethical person are misusing the above Chanakya quote to justify themselves.

Most of the people fail to remember as to, why till today Jesus is treated with great respect? He being truthful was never worried of being nailed and went on to forgive those who troubled him.

What makes Gandhi a Mahatma? if he followed that stupid so called Chanakya statement, there is no possibility that, we have Gandhi and Freedom to India.

Some people renamed “fraud” as being diplomatic, every fraudulent thing they are justifying as, its diplomatic.

Of course, Everyone is honest with their own definition. One says stealing 100 is fine, you should not steal 1 million, another person who is stealing 1 million says as; stealing 1 billion is not good.

Similarly, one will say; one rape or one murder is fine. Hundred or thousand are not good.

What are the reasons for immoral and dishonest behaviour in the society?

Now people are running behind the money and materials, they are least bothered about values and ethics. Reason for all these are; fear, worry, jealous, too much of selfishness and so on.

The deeper desire of money and position is slowly eliminating honesty and morality from the humanity.

Now there is a need to bring back the honest and moral values, else the human beings will become wild or like animals, as Swami Vivekananda said: The secret of religion lies not in theories but in practice, Religion is the idea which is raising the brute unto man, and man unto God.

I just remember of my grandfather's age, if you ask someone to take care of your product or property, they were doing it like the owners, in those days giving word to someone was more than a bond agreement. Now if you request? someone to take care of property/product, he may himself call the thief and get percentage or commission on it and forget about words. These days agreements are also re-created and violated.

In my early days there was some specific time to broadcast crime stories (in TV), now every 30 min either in breaking news or in scroll text, they are showing many scams, crimes and stealing.

How to bring back those golden days of morality and honesty in Humanity:

There are few areas we need to focus on:

1. Govt sector: In all the government sectors, recognition of honest and moral should be showcased, every ministry of state and central government should have practice of recognizing bureaucrats and general public. Every heads of Govt office should initiate honest recognition program by identifying honest people and rewarding them in occasions and gatherings.

2. Corporate sector: every corporate should introduce some surveys or events to identify and recognize the honest and moral people, they should give some benefits to the honest, to encourage other employees.

3. Education sector: every school and colleges need to introduce more successful moral stories in their academics and teach benefits of being moral.

4. Home: Home is a first school, its parent’s responsibility to teach kids about: morals, values, good cultures, service and sacrifices, as APJ Abdul Kalam said: Where there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character. When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home, there is order in the nation. When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world.

5. Media: media should stop projecting criminals as hero’s or leaders, instead they should go beyond money and TRP; they should bring all moral and honest people into the limelight.

As per my opinion Implementation of morality and honesty makes difference between human and animal, else both look similar.

Identify, Recognize, Respect, Reward and Award the people with integrity and honesty, else your own children or grandchildren will eat, what you are sowing today.

Dharmo Rakshathi Rakshitaha - it means that following a righteous path will save your life.

How to reach GOD

We all know how to reach destinations, such as known places, stages, planets and so on. This is easy and doable, since it's visible to your 5 senses. God’s destination/place is unknown, s/he is not reachable to your 5 sense organs, so, 6^th or 7^th or N^th sense is needed to reach the God.

1. Some say God is everywhere.

2. Some say God is in Idols/Cross.

3. Some say God has no shapes.

4. Some say God does not exist.

Let us consider the above 3 points (4^th one mentioned below), I think all are right. So, why are they explained differently in different religions? Below is the answer:

Let's take it this way, Himalayan mountain is seen by many religions and enlightened persons as below:

1. Zoroastrianism see Himalayan from Afghanistan side it looks one way.

2. Christianity see Himalayan from China side, it looks other way.

3. Islam see Himalayan from Nepal side it looks different way.

4. Sikhism see Himalayan from Pakistan side it looks another way.

5. Hindu OR enlightened people see Himalayan from India side it looks totally different way.

Fact is, all have seen the same Himalayan mountain, whereas they have viewed or experienced in different ways, each religion or person have different opinions on the same subject/matter, but all are true.

To understand how all are same; you look at the Himalayan in Aerial view. You will realize all religion or enlightened people intention is same. But, message is conveyed differently. (Refer)

Why we have different rituals or discipline or prayers? Again, it's similar to having different wires to transmit electricity (copper, aluminum, steel, silver, gold, so on), all are doing the same job but metal used is different.

Or

It's like computer operating systems - Ubuntu, AIX, Linux, Unix, Windows, and DOS. All these operating systems help in operating machines, whereas commands and user interface is different. Similarly, browsers like Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and so on. Again, don't fight on which OS/Browser is great, all are not certified as 100% secured. Virus can pass through any OS or Any Browser.

For the above point 4, my explanation is simple; now you are reading this blog, which is created by me, so without the creator you can't see the creation, similarly this universe is a creation, we don't know who has created, that creator is called as God.

As Madhvacharya said, “The one who understands the atom, s/he can understand the universe”. till date our science has not completed research on understanding inner sides of the atom.

So how to reach the God?

As per Jaggi Vasudev(Sadhguru): If you can fill the love; for every breath you take, for every move you make, for every action you do. If you have amplified desire to immerse yourself into the everything that is surrounded by you. then creation itself take you to the creator(God).

Let's consider above Sadhguru words as eligible criteria to reach the God, what else need to be done?

Start doing your religious practices with full of consciousness and awareness, it will help you to reach the supreme consciousness. With that supreme consciousness, you will possible to get a clarity on atom. After getting the clarity on atom, you get clarity on universe, once you understand universe you will understand God.

Again, after you understand, you can't explain this to anyone. Reason; few things can be understood only by experience and cannot be explained. It’s like -

Assume you have tasted TEA, try to explain to someone who has never seen or tasted TEA.

you say it is sweet, he asks is it like honey?

you say it's different, he asks is it like a blackberry?

you say it's different, he asks is it like apple?

Later you say TEA has very good smell, he asks is it like Jasmine?

you say it's different smell, he asks is it like sandalwood, and so on.

The one who has experienced can say it's not that one, to the inexperienced person; he can't say it is that. Because other person has not reached the state of mind, to understand what you are saying about. It’s like teaching master degree subject to the 1^st standard student.

You may question me, why some of them reached and experienced God by not following any rules or rituals.

Answer is; you know we can transmit electricity using metals or wires, some of them achieved this in wireless way.

Don't fight over religions, all religions function like a transportation, some are called as RED line, some are called as YELLOW line, some are called as BLUE line. Try to understand the purpose of religions, instead of fighting on colors, shapes, and names, all religions real purpose is to make you spiritual.

My definition of spirituality is - one should attain the understanding that all are ONE, s/he should love ALL, s/he should be courageous and truthful.

As Sri Krishna said in Bhagavad Gita sreyan sva-dharmo vigunah para-dharmat svanusthitat sva-dharme nidhanam sreyah para-dharmo bhayavahah. It means; Even if it has no values, your religion is the best, when compared with very well structured/organized other religion. By following your own religion getting death is even much better, than following the other religion. Reason; other religions are not meant for you to follow and those are irrelevant to you.

It's like we all know Americans eat one kind of food, Arabians eat different kind of food, Indians eat other kind of food, all food is good and helps to survive. With this reason you can't guide Indian or Arabian food to the Americans, by doing this, instead of helping, you may harm them. Following other religion practices are like this...

 

Whereas some exceptions, few good things and practices need be exchanged, this is like having continental food. Neither it belongs to our country nor it belongs to any other country.

As Swami Vivekananda said on religion: Secret of religion lies not in theories but in practice. And it helps; you will find that before you were an animal, now you are a man, and will be a god or God Himself in future.

So, you found some ideas to reach god, choose the best way of prayers, practices and meditation you believe or you trust and consider above suggestions too, those are the possible ways to reach enlightenment and God. (Refer)
